Professional photographer based in Tahiti, French Polynesia, Vincent Devert has always been passionate about nature and waves.
Riding his first waves on a bodyboard, on the Reunion Island at 10, allowed Vincent to get exposed with nature early on and therefore to grow in contact with its benefits, magic and fragility. Back in the Southwest of France, he then rediscovers a different environment, also rich and captivating in its own way.
In his early 20's, Vincent begins to get into photography, buys his first digital reflex camera with a water housing, and starts a new adventure. His first images came from Hossegor, France, and surrounding areas. Rapidly, a thirst for discovery pushes him to explore new horizons. Vincent develops his experience in the Canary Islands, Mexico, Australia, California, Hawaii and the Society Islands of French Polynesia. Doors start to open and his talent starts to pay off. Vincent decides to make a living from his passion and becomes professional. He improves his equipement and diversifies his clientele.
In December 2007, he leaves his birthplace, family and friends to take root in French Polynesia, on the island of Tahiti, with his half, Odile. Now husband and father, Vincent keeps on learning and developing his talent on this always fascinating corner of the world. He makes his services available for professionals as well as for private parties. Locally established, he is also recognized internationally.
